Waite High School opened in 1914 and is named after Morrison R. Waite, a former Toledoan who served as Chief Justice of the United States from 1874-1888.
Waite High School offers a comprehensive academic curriculum as well as Career Technical Education in Information Technology, Carpentry and Construction, Welding and Auto Collision. Students can also pursue interests in the performing arts, fine arts, athletics and a variety of club activities.
The school campus includes an updated library media center, baseball and softball fields, the
Mollenkopf Stadium for football, and a Memorial Monument for World War I and World War II, as well as the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam.
It’s also home to the Waite Health Center which offers a variety of health care services to students, families and neighbors.
